Brekkie of Would-be Champions: Leftovers are your friends! Especially if you enjoy savoury foods at breakfast, re-jiggering leftovers can assure that you have a delicious and nutritious meal without having to be conscious enough to handle appliances and, er, actual thinking. For brekkie the day after Christmas, when the kitchen was still a disaster of unwashed dishes and pans, I removed the skin from a leftover filet of miso-grilled salmon from a Japanese restaurant, broke the salmon into rough chunks and tossed it with bits of red and yellow bell peppers, cherry tomatoes and a splash of sesame-ginger dressing. Add toasted, whole wheat bread, et voila! Fitness enthusiasts should never starve. Feed body and soul with nourishing, beautiful food.
